Who is a Gift Planner?
A Gift Planner is someone who works with both donors and charities to achieve maximum benefit for each party from a charitable gift.

Who Should Join?
The CAGP is open to individuals responsible for gift planning programs of registered charitable organizations or foundations, fundraising consultants, lawyers, accountants, financial planners and life insurance representatives, trust officers and other professionals who accept and abide by the code of ethics and professional practices of their respective fields and those of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.

All applications for membership are subject to approval by the National Board of Directors.

How is the Association Structured?
The National Board includes representatives from five regions: British Columbia, Yukon and the Territories • Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba • Ontario • Quebec • Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Regional RoundTables operate in every region and most major cities in Canada with objectives to meet their respective needs. These RoundTables accept, observe and promote the Standards of Professional and Ethical Practice of the CAGP. RoundTables assist the CAGP in developing its programs and materials, and serve as the primary vehicle for delivery of those programs and materials.

All CAGP members are also members of a local or regional RoundTable of their choice.

If you are involved in the non-profit sector, whether you are a member of a charity or an Allied Professional, the Canadian Association of Gift Planners - Waterloo-Wellington invites you to join our local Round Table.

The annual fee, which automatically includes a partnership in our local LEAVE A LEGACY™, is $68.00.  This includes the Round Table luncheon meetings where we have a featured topic and speaker on various aspects of planned giving, access to the LEAVE A LEGACYSpeaker's Bureau, and the opportunity to build a vast network of resources in the charitable community of Waterloo-Wellington.
